Pages "Not Found"

    I have used WP Clone to copy a live site to my localhost. The homepage is visible. Navigating to pages I get:

    Not Found
    The requested URL /wordpress/contact-us/ was not found on this server.

    I can see the pages and their content in the admin screen. Permalinks are set to “Post name” on both versions.

    I enabled mod_rewrite, and this resolved the issue with permalinks.

    In WampServer: wamp tray icon, apache, apache module, rewrite module
