I’ve installed WP on a number of sites and have never had this problem. This is a brand-new install. The pages on the site aren’t loading from the menu or from the permalink in the edit screen, even though there is content. All that shows is the page’s title. When I click the “edit” link below the title, it takes me to the right page in the admin screen, where I can see the page’s content. All content is published and marked visible. It’s the same problem no matter what theme I use. Any ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Try resetting your permalinks from settings->permalinks.

That didn’t do anything. I also tried to create a new page, and that one doesn’t show any content either. All that loads is the title of the page and an Edit link.

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I tried it on all three of the default themes, plus some other ones. Akismet is the only plugin I have going.

From your Home, when I click “legislators”, I see URL like this:
    http://much-ado.net/legislators/legislators/

Similarly, when I click “contact”, I see URL like this:
    http://much-ado.net/legislators/contact/

    Yes, that’s right.

I just looked at my other WP site, and it’s doing the same thing! I switched my domain to PHP 7 just yesterday… I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

    Those permalinks look weird.

I don’t know if that’s caused by PHP update. You may discuss with your hosting provider

FYI for anyone else who might have this problem: I went to my host and switched back from PHP 7 to PHP 5.6, and now all my pages are working.

    Glad to know it 🙂
