    Hi!
I’ve entered details for about 70 items into my first site using Exchange and put each of them into categories. Using iThemes Exchange Custom Loop I’ve put each category onto its own page within the site. The first page of items related to to a category display correctly. But when you click to go to page two (or three) the items disappear and are replaced just by brief descriptions.
The weirdest one is the “All” page – this page is just completely blank, no text, no images, no header, no styling, quite literally a blank page.
The site can be viewed at shopthecoconutroom.com/preview
Help & guidance needed to get over this – thanks,
    JohnT

    Hi Ronald!

Any news on this? I’m hoping to launch the site this week and this is one of the last issues I need to clear up.

    Hi John,

I just had a closer look, and it appears that the theme is using a “summary” display of items on all pages > the first one. This may be a Headway specific setting, and it may alter “the loop” in such a way that it can’t be manipulated by the add-on.

I am not familiar with Headway, but perhaps that is something you could look into, or perhaps consult Headway support.

    Let me know,

Thanks Ronald. I solved the issue by increasing the number of items shown on each page thereby eliminating the need for additional pages for each category (“products per page” > than the total number of items). This is closer to what the client wanted anyway.

The “number of columns in grid view” defaults to 3. When that page is viewed on a smartphone the columns stay at 3 which means that the images are really tiny and the text is rendered very hard to read. I do have a value of 600px in the “viewport to default to list view” box but I don’t notice that anything changes at 600px – the items just get smaller and smaller.

Am I missing something? Obviously I want to make sure the items show up correctly when viewed on a smartphone.

    Hi,

this is (hopefully) explained in this other support request: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/grid-wont-change-to-list-view-on-small-screen-sizes

So if you do not have the grid/list selections visible on the page, this functionality (automatic changing to list view) doesn’t work.

I can review this, but I don’t have a quick solution, although you might be able to do this using css mediaqueries forcing the products to go 100% wide on viewports smaller than 600px.

Thanks Ronald – that earlier post explained it well enough. I made the changes and it all seems to work now.

    Thanks again,
