Hi. We have seen a discrepancy in Google Analytics numbers and the number of pageviews on our dashboard. Why is there such a drastic difference, like your pageviews are 100 times more.

  • Dear @korbenjprentice ,

    Thanks for the inquiry.

There may be a difference between the pageviews count and the Google Analytics because of the logic of the count.
On our end, it doesn’t matter whether the popup on the opened or no – the pageview is still counted.
If, let’s say, there are 4 popups on the page, one visit on the page will count 4 pageviews, as 4 requests for each popup will be done. All of the 4 popups don’t need to show for the pageviews – just the page should be loaded.
In Google Analytics a Pageview is counted as one loaded page.
So, this could be the reason for the difference.
Of course, there are some exceptions regarding the pageviews and we suggest checking this article for more info.

What are Pageviews and how are they calculated?
Let us know if this explains it.
