Pagination issue

    Hi,

    In this page I have listed 25 destination cities and filtered them with alphabets.

    I have set Divide posts in pages in Pagination Type setting and then set 20 for Posts per page.

    When the page is viewed in the front-end, it shows 2 pagination for ALL. But if any of the alphabet is clicked the number of posts changes, which is completely correct. But as the number of posts is less than 20, so I think the pagination should also change to 1 only.

    Please check my link to understand it better.

    Any thoughts please?

    The pages pagination doesn’t work like that at the moment.

    Basically the filter applies to the page you’re on. So if you filter “A” on page one you’ll see all of those cities. But if you go to page 2 and then filter by “A” you won’t get any results as there aren’t any cities tagged with “A” on that page.

    This is something that’s on our todo list but requires a bit of a rewrite.

    Our current recommendation is to use a pagination method like “Load more on filter with load more button” instead. Or in your case not using pagination would probably work as well (for now).

    Thanks a lot for the quick response.

    I am going to have a lot of destination cities. So I will definitely need the pagination. As I am using the free version of the plugin, so I only have the “Divide posts in pages” for it and I can’t increase the number more than 20 as per the requirement.

    For me, if the pagination doesn’t work that way then it might confuse the users. So I think it will be a nice feature to have in this great plugin. Hope to see it soon.

    I understand the problem. Right now I can’t give a deadline, I’m afraid.

    We have an entire rewrite of the plugin planned for 2019 which will include this as one of the many improvements. Unfortunately big changes like that take time, as you can imagine.
