Pagination issue when using [discussion_topics] shortcode

I’m just trying this out, and love the simplicity of it. But I’m having a problem with the [discussion_topics] shortcode.

If I place that on a page, I get the list of topics as intended, and I also get arrows on the page to indicate next and previous page of topics. Unfortunately, nothing happens when I click on these arrows, even when there is another page of topics to which to link.

I have tried the archive page option, and the arrows work fine there, but I’d prefer to use the shortcode because the styling fits my theme much better.
