Pagination that honors project type slug?

Hello – this is my first time with your theme. So far, so good.

I have two jetpack portfolio project types, red things and blue things. Each project type contains several items.

I direct them to the project types like this:
…www.redandbluethings.com/project-type/redthings

The user can then select any of the redthing projects to view.

When a user clicks ‘next article’ when viewing one of the red things, I would like them to see the next project of the type ‘redthings’ only.

Right now, they are taken to whichever project is next, whether it is red or blue.

Is it possible to change the pagination to honor the project-type slug?

Also I was wondering if you have a sample child theme? I cannot get my child theme to work properly. Thank you!
