Let me start by saying, I have no problem paying for software, people need to earn a living from what they produce, however I was drawn into the lifetime license as it has no repeat fees. I should’ve just gone with WP MIGRATE DB PRO Dev. edition in the first place, which is what I will now buy.

All I want is a simple, quick way to copy a live site to a staging site. I have a staging account setup on my server, so all the config etc. for both live and staging sites are identical. I bought the unlimited extension and the Onedrive extension (I have Office 365 with 1TB of storage so why not?).

First site took me two hours of support desk and debugging, apparently I cannot use AiO to transfer the YooTheme Pro theme, so I have to deactivate it on my live site (one of the reasons staging sites exist, don’t mash up your live site!), create the export, then reactivate it. Not ideal! However I did get the site transferred.

Second site I am still fighting. Even though I deactivated the theme and activated 2019, the import fails immediately, with the same error.log as my first issues. No import happens so I cannot debug.

I spent $165 to make my life easier, I have wasted probably a working day not accomplishing anything of much. Would I trust this software to export a staging site back to my live site. I’d rather eat my dog.

I don’t think I have a problem server / setup. It’s just an Azure setup with 8 cores and 16GB ram. I only host 9 sites and the staging account on this particular server and have way more resources allocated than recommended by Servmask. CloudLinux/cPanel/LiteSpeed, all quality paid for stuff.

All that said, and the reason for the 2 star review and not a 1 star, is that they have refunded my money for the 2 addons. Lesson learned, sometimes unlimited isn’t always the value it looks like.

Update: for an extra $30 I bought a subscription (annual renewal) to WP Migrate DB Pro by Deliscious Brains. They have a 20% discount on at the moment.

Installed it on 2 sites, had a staging site transferred across and fully working in about 5 minutes flat.

Just worked. Tested on LiteSpeed and on NGINX and both worked fine. It’s slick. Making my wasted eight hours with All in One’s premium addons all the more annoying.
