    Hello,

Have looked at a couple of other posts that seem to have had the same problem and gone through the fixes there, but still have the same issue.

When I go to Customize -> Theme Options the panel options have gone. I have deleted a page and now the site has a blank panel at the end and the links at the top are off set as there is one link that “isn’t there”…

    Site is westsidebrewing.eu

    Hi there,

Could you make a screenshot of the issue in the Customizer and provide a link to it here?

    Thanks for the screenshot.

A few questions here for you:

    1. Did you set the site up using the same device (looks like iOS Chrome) as you sent the screenshot from?
    2. Did it work once and then stop, or did it never work for you?
    3. If you try editing from another browser (or device) does the same problem happen?

As far as fixing it goes, try these steps and let me know if anything changes:

    1. Open the Customizer
    2. Navigate to the Static Front Page area
    3. Select the Your latest posts option
    4. Next, select the A static page option, and choose both your front and post pages.
    5. Save the changes.
    6. Without exiting the Customizer, reload the page
    7. Navigate back to the Theme Options area, and you should see the panel options there.

Let me know if that works for you.

No I just took the screen shot on it as I had it to hand

Did it work once and then stop, or did it never work for you?

Worked when I originally set the pages a few months back, didn’t look back until I needed to change them as I removed a page that was a panel

Have tried from my mac on safari, firefox and chrome, all get the same result.

Just tried the suggested steps, I don’t use a post page, but selected one just in case and also tried with out, I still see only Menu Settings under Theme Options.

Thanks for that info. Since it happens in several browsers, that indicates the problem isn’t browser related.

I recommend that you make a backup of your site’s files and database, and then disable your plugins one at a time to see if one of them is preventing you from accessing the setting.

Let me know if that helps.

    Hi David,

I should have said, that was one of the first things I tried. Just did it again, and the results were the same

    Any thing else to try?

By chance did you or someone else happen to edit any of the theme files? If so, I recommend that you delete the existing copy of the theme and install a fresh copy from Appearance > Themes > Add New.

You may have to set up some of your widgets again, but this is the best way to make sure you’re using an unaltered copy of the theme.

OK, backed up, deleted the theme, checked /var/www/html/wp-content/theme/pique was gone. Reinstalled the theme, still not there. But I also noticed after reinstalling that it had saved certain things about my site that I had set before, the logo for example….

All this while all the plugins were disabled πŸ™

Thanks for all the responses so far, anything else I can try?

Hmm, at this point I’d say check for any Javascript errors when you open the Customizer and navigate to Theme Options. Here’s some info on how to do that:

I’m curious to know what you find.

    YES!

So, I added a ssl.conf in nignx and it had an X-FRAME setting that countered the one in the pique customerizer.php. Removed it from the nignx, reload, bam! options back.

Thanks so much for sticking with it and helping me out, should probably have done that myself in the first place πŸ˜‰

    Woo! Glad that helped. πŸ™‚
