• When this plugin is installed with WordPress 5.0 (localized to nb_NO, and without “Classic Editor” plugin) the standard Paragraph block is gone/unavailable in the block editor. Instead there are two classic blocks, behaving in the same way:

“Klassisk” (translated from core block Classic)
“Classic Paragraph” (yet untranslated in plugin)

This makes it impossible to composed decent posts. When this plugin is deactivated all is as expected and the code Paragraph block is default.

You can get the default Paragraph block by disabling the “Hybrid mode” (the checkbox is a bit buggy right now, fixing) 🙂

Ok, thanks, but why two kinds of classic blocks? Seems confusing. If the “Classic Paragraph” is a replacement, can the core classic block be hidden or disabled?

I didn’t get this with 5.0.0, but it showed up with 5.0.1.

Yeah, “debating” if that “Classic Paragraph” block is actually useful… Was a nice idea: to bring a full TinyMCE instance in every paragraph, so when you press Enter anywhere, it opens with full editor.

The first thing I tried was to make it open a “Classic” block, but that’s not possible (at least for now).

Perhaps it would be better to remove the Classic Paragraph, and add conversions from most blocks to “Classic Block”? Then a full editor will be one more click away.

Another option is to keep the Classic Paragraph but not replace the default Paragraph block. Then perhaps all the conversions should be to Classic Paragraph 🙂

The default paragraph block is back. Have a look in the (just released) 4.8.2 🙂

Thanks for your efforts – this WP update really has made it a challenge to make the plugin work.

Yeah, lots of new stuff to make. But it’s fun! 🙂
