Hi Joan
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Any chance you can upload the JSON file for this layout and send us the link. Perhaps uploaded to Dropbox/Drive etc.? Click Layouts > Import/Export > Download Layout.
Hi Andrew!
I know that option (JSON), because I´m teaching a course for Udemy: ‘How to design a website wisely’. And I’m using your official page builder (+ SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle), and unofficial add-ons + compatible plugin recommended by Greg on the blog.
But already in a class (course) talk about this option and I had to say that it worked badly. I will open a new post about this incident and another, so that you can review it… and I can inform my Udemy students of your new achievements.
For the problem of this post, I have decided to enable a test page within the theme (Primer) that I chose for the course in Udemy.
That is why I link you online to the page in question, so you can check what the problem may be.
Grretings!
Pd.: Sorry for the following post but I have checked a series of problems and I think you can be useful.

Hi Joan,
The issue here is that you’ve applied the same background image to three different rows. Now I know that may sound strange due to the fact it works without issue on desktop but the reason why is that fixed backgrounds are disabled on Android and iOS (non-default browsers may have it enabled though) so you’ll see a different result on mobile. Sadly, there’s no way to force mobile browsers to allow fixed backgrounds.
Normally, you wouldn’t see the fixed background not working with a desktop browser but we forcefully disable fixed backgrounds when the browser is a certain width to prevent a Safari issue where it’ll stretch and zoom the image (which is as a result of how Apple disables fixed backgrounds).
Hi alexgso!
Oh, then there is no solution anymore. It’s a shame because I made the demo before summer with it running on tablets and smartphones, and it looked fabulous.
But if it does not exist any longer … then I will have to leave it and follow normal behavior.
I can´t put the two rows in one, because the effect of my image (left) + the text (right) is not equal to the collapsing screen. On the right side of the image is cut text. That is why I had to put two columns in a different row, so that when collapsed, the text will be placed below the image.
Well… now that I knew how to download the JSONs and I had uploaded it but I see that it is not necessary to link with this explanation. Well I have learned a couple of other things today.
Greetings and although it is not the solution I expected, thank you for clearing doubts.

Seeing that it is a feature that no longer exists due to the “great Apple”, I end this post, because although it was not the expected solution, at least, I remove the doubt to continue working.
