Hi,
Tell me if I get this right.
You have different pages with each a guestbook. I suppose you use the shortcode with the bookid parameter. What you would like to see on the admin side of things is not just that bookid but also the page name and url where the shortcode is placed.
Correct?
It might be good to add this information on the admin dashboard, at least on the editor for a single entry. It could be in the box for date and bookid.
Maybe it can be added to the entry list as well, but only if there are multiple books used.
By the way, the multiple books was and is really something extra, the integration is not that far extended.
I’m sorry that due to my bad English I didn’t explain it in the correct way I think.
I have many pages and only one guestbook.
In every page there is a link to a page with my guestbook (a link to http://www.mysite.com/guestbook )
I’d like to call the guestbook page passing a parameter like http://www.mysite.com/guestbook?page=sourcepage
What I’d expect is to have in the guestbook entry also a referral to ‘sourcepage’
Hi,
Aha, that is clear and is understood 🙂
I am not sure what to answer though. This is not built in to the plugin and I don’t see it as a core part of it either.
The commercial add-on does have meta-fields for each entry. With extra PHP code it could fill this data into such a meta-field. We could talk about that I write that code and you pay me a small amount of money. If you are not up for that, that is fine too.
Regards,
Marcel
Thanks, I’ll think about it
