    Hi

I love this theme, was looking for one where the navigation is on the left side. But i have a question for the toggle navigatoin (Parent Page, Child Page).

My Nav is some like this:

    – Home
    – Bikes
    — Mountain Bike
    — Cross
    — E-Bike
    – Contact
    – Tracks
    — Green
    — Blue
    — Red

I want the navigation behave like this: If someone selects Bikes (Parent) it should show all the Child Pages (this is working so far). But if someone selects a child page, the navigation close itself and shows the selected Page. After this step the visitor has to go back to Bikes > and select another child to see another page.

How is it possible to code the menu, that it will not close the Submenu, if i select a child page? I think this would be easier for the people to see where they are.

I select “Moutain Bike” and the Page loads, the Parent Menu “Bikes” should still be collapsed so that i can see the other child Pages. I hope you know, what i mean?

This is what i’m looking for: http://demo-rt.com/?theme=rttheme15

Is it possible to mod your menu to this?

    Thank you very much

    Sam

  • Glad you’re liking Adaption!

Adding jQuery accordion menu functionality would be a substantial modification, and something more easily done via a plugin than in a child theme, unless you’re already very comfortable with child theming and jQuery.

I suggest you look through the menu plugins in the repo and look for one you like. You could start by searching for the term “accordion menu”:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/search.php?q=accordion+menu

    Good luck!
