    Hi,

I’m currently using the plugin Product Feed Manager for WooCommerce and I’m running into an issue regarding variable products.

Most of the products in my store are variable products, where each variation has a different price. For my product feed, I only want to include the parent products (not each individual variation).

However, I would like the parent product to use the lowest price from all its variations as the main price in the feed.

At the moment, it seems that the plugin assigns a price somewhat randomly from one of the variations, and it is often not the lowest price, which causes incorrect pricing in my feed.

I could not find any option or setting that ensures the parent product uses the minimum variation price.

    My questions:

    • Is there a built-in way to make parent products use the lowest variation price in the feed?
    • If not, is there a recommended workaround (e.g. filter, hook, or custom field)?
    • Or is this something that could be added in a future update?

    thanks

    Hi @felix2302,

Thanks for the detailed explanation, this is a great question.

Let me clarify how our plugin handles parent product pricing in the feed:

If your variable product has a default variation selected in WooCommerce, then Product Feed Manager will use the price of that default variation as the parent product price in the feed.

On the other hand, if no default variation is set, then the plugin will automatically use the lowest variation price as the parent product price.

So in your case, the behavior you’re seeing is most likely because a default variation is selected for those products. When that’s set, the plugin is designed to prioritize that price instead of picking the lowest one.

To help you check this, here’s an example of where the default variation is configured in WooCommerce: screenshot

Could you please confirm if your parent products have a default variation selected? That will help us understand if this is the expected behavior or if something else needs to be checked.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards,
