Parent Theme Could Not be Found

I am getting a parent theme could not be found error when I try to upload a child theme. Everything is working fine on the front end of my site. The problem I am getting is that if you go to Appearance> Themes in the admin/backend of WordPress you see my theme is activated but the image for the theme is showing blank, but all the others are showing just fine.

This is the message I am getting in WordPress after I try to install a compatible child theme with my parent theme Classipress:“The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, Classipress, before you can use this child theme. Theme installed successfully.“

Please help…
