    Hi,

When I try to open my website http://apartmentsinjaipur.com/, it gives me the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/u230658498/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue/functions.php on line 30

I was trying to add google analytics code by making some changes in functions.php file but created a mess.

Confession: a no coder just tried to be oversmart 🙁

    Thanks
    Ron

    Hey,
You should never edit a theme file directly, always go through a child theme. Are you able to undo the changes that were made?

    I am sorry but I can’t. Even I can’t log into admin.

    Thanks

Try contacting your host and see if they have a backup. Otherwise you may need to do a fresh install.

Alright Hannah, I will contact my hosting provider.

    Thanks for your support.

    Thanks
    Ron

    Hey,
You can also go into the servers cpanel. There you can use the web file manager and remove the code you added from there.
