• Hi,

I’m a beginning WordPress user and getting this error for my wordpress site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/22/9061722/html/wp-content/themes/clarity/header.php on line 95

I’m using the Clairy Theme if that helps. Any help would be great, thanks!

  • FTP into your site (or whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the wp-content/themes/clarity folder.

    Thanks for the reply Esmi.

Will this reset my whole site?

What if I want to keep all the content on my site and just reset the header.php file?

    Thanks!

It will reactivate the default WordPress theme. Your current theme seems to be broken.

Sorry I’m so new at this; but just to clarify, I won’t lose any of my content?

No. Your content is stored in your database. Only your widgets will be lost.

Sorry to bother, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to download a fresh version of the Clarity theme. Can I do this from the wordpress admin?

There isn’t a theme of that name in http://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/ so you will need to find out where you originally downloaded it from first.

    It looks like ThemeTrust.

I spotted that one but also saw another theme with the same name from another vendor/supplier. If you’re sure it’s the ThemeTrust. version, download a fresh copy as a .zip file to your computer. Then you’ll be able to re-upload it via Appearance -> Themes -> Install Themes -> Upload.

    Thanks so much, fixed!

On another note, I’ve been trying to get the homepage slideshow for that theme to work but can’t figure it out. I feel like I’ve exhausted the web looking for answers to my problem with it. I can’t figure out how to have slideshow on just the home page above the main content.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again for the fix!
