Parse Error Message and Invalid Password problem

After trying to add in a bit of code to the functions php. section of my editor, I got blocked out with an an error message stating “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_LNUMBER, expecting ‘&’ or T_VARIABLE in /home/content/29/9645429/html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/theblog/functions.php on line 7”.

When trying to login through the wp-admin I get the same message.

But, when I try logging in another way, I get nothing but “Invalid username/password” messages. We reset the password moments ago, and the message still pops up.
