Parse error new theme

Just changed to a new theme and have this footer.php error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/thehu22/public_html/wp-content/themes/thewebnews/footer.php(1) : eval()’d code on line 15

Why is it asking about footer.php(1)? I only have one footer.php file.
