    Hi Plugin Author,

We are encountering the below error for our new WordPress sites.
We encounter the error when we initiated activation of the plugin.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/sampleacc/public_html/_site/wp-content/plugins/wp-power-stats/admin/vendor/tabgeo_country_v4/tabgeo_country_v4.php on line 23

    Important Note:
    – This happens for NEW WordPress sites and new plugin activation.
    – We have existing sites with the stats plugin already activated, but it is not failing there.

    Please help1

What version of PHP do you have on this hosting?

PHP 5.2 – Is that still being supported?

No, this version of PHP is not officially supported. It might work with it, but there might be issues.

I would recommend upgrading your PHP version. That version of PHP is over 6 years old: no security or bugfixes are released for that version anymore.

Have a look at WordPress requirement recommendations: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/about/requirements/
