Parse error: syntax error

    Hi, this seems to be an excellent plugin, however I couldn’t install it because I keep getting the following error:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /wp-content/plugins/scifi-facets/scifi_facets.php on line 17

    All other plugins are inactive and I’m currently using the Twenty Fourteen theme. Any idea of how can I fix this?
