Parse error, syntax error…. on line 315 – HELP!

Idiotically, I was in messing around with some code in the theme. I was trying to get the tags to not show up on my posts, and nothing matched what was described in other forums. So I deleted something I shouldn’t have…
I got this error now:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/63/8823063/html/wp-content/themes/matala/functions.php on line 315

It shows up BOTH on my site and when I try to log back into my dashboard. I have NO IDEA how to even attempt to begin fixing this. I am new to the blogging and code world (since January 2012). I was succesful in tweaking things in past when setting things up and obviously was in over my head. Please can anyone help me fix this?? In the simplist terms possible…. I have a relatively new back up that I downloaded to my computer a couple of weeks ago if I need to reload. I may lose some posts but that’s better than losing everything I guess. PLEASE HELP!
