Some minutes before I got your last reply I had found and activated theme ‘WP-Creativix’ by looking up at http://sunset-comfort.com/wp-admin/theme-install.php, I just searched it by the word ‘portfolio.’ It was installed and activated without paying any fees. I guess my question is whether it is supported in this forum in case of trouble.
As to the original post drive…the issue has been resolved, since I am not using the issued theme (Cloriato Lite) anymore. Thank you.
I guess my question is whether it is supported in this forum in case of trouble.
Pretty sure I spotted that theme’s developer responding to support issues only yesterday. To increase the chances of a quicker response, always make sure that you post in the theme’s dedicated forum (reached via the theme’s page in the Theme Repository). Tagging your topic with the theme’s folder name wouldn’t go amiss either.
For example, if you visit that theme’s page here:
http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/wp-creativix
You can see that there is a “Support” tab at the top. That shows you all the support questions specifically for that theme, and you can leave your own at the bottom of the page, if you can’t find your answers in other people’s questions.
Essentially, theme authors who make their themes available on ww.wp.xz.cn for free have their own support area with each theme. For themes not obtained from ww.wp.xz.cn, we recommend going to the theme authors directly, on their own sites.
Now, Cloriato Lite is indeed a free theme available on this site:
http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/cloriato-lite
However, you only said “Cloriato” before, and a Google search for it (yeah, I don’t know all the themes individually) led me to believe you were referring to their paid version of the theme. In the future, it helps if you post in the proper place, so that the theme authors can receive email notifications and the like. If you had gone to the theme’s specific Support page and made your post there, then it would have been much more obvious as to which theme you were referring to.
With specific regards to your original problem, if you edit a file and it causes problems, then restore the original file from before you edited it. You can just redownload the theme to get a copy of all the original files. The download button is on this page:
http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/cloriato-lite
And it will give you a zip file of the theme. Replace the front-page.php file with the file from the download.
