I encountered this before, so I know how to access my website files offline using FileZilla. I got an error on line 11, so I fixed it by replacing everything to its original settings.

But I ended up with this new one instead and I don’t know how to fix it. What exactly is the function thing about? Please help!

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘function’ (T_FUNCTION) in /home2/joycecrl/public_html/wp-content/themes/edge/inc/footer-details.php on line 1

Your “edge” theme seems to be the error.

To confirm, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen.) using FTP/ SFTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides (no Dashboard access required). Navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder by adding “-old” to the end of the folder name. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme (Twenty Sixteen.). That will force your site to use it.
