    Hi there

    I’ve got a running installation of the plugin (works fine – thanks a lot), but og another host I get the error

    “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/ahoernke/public_html/webmasters-toolbox.de/wp-content/plugins/wp-seo-keyword-optimizer/admin/admin.php on line 10”

    WordPress is 4.7
    PHP is 5.6
    Hoster: Arvixe

    Any hints?

    Hello Axxl,

    thank you for contacting us. This error is usually related to a PHP Version below 5.4. Are you really sure that the server is running 5.6?

    We will check for possible hoster related errors and keep you updated.

    PS: Please try deactivating all plugins and see if that helps. There is a slight chance, that another plugin is causing this error.

    I switched from PHP 5.4 to 5.6 – but when I use phpinfo() it shows 5.3.29! Arvixe…. So I have to ask the support from my hoster

    was a problem by Arvixe, the setup via cPanel seems does not work

    Thank you for clarifying 🙂 We have marked this thread as resolved, but I would also like to update you on a recent bug we found: PHP 5.5+ is the right required version. 5.4 is missing a function, which has slipped through the testing process. We are sorry for that. The description has been updated and the plugin is checking for this version now. Please consider this in the new update.
