Parse error, unexpected T_Function, no FTP access

I recently took over content administration for a friend’s website and unwittingly updated a set of plugins today only to receive the following error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/41/8956841/html/wp-content/plugins/bwp-recaptcha/bwp-recaptcha.php on line 51.

I don’t have FTP access and the previous contractor has not yet responded to requests to send that information. Any suggestions on how to access the site to delete the recaptcha plugin update would be greatly appreciated.
