Password encryption for password-protected pages & posts

    Dear WordPress-Community,

    how do i make wordpress use encryption/hashing for passwords securing password-protected pages or posts as it does with the user-passwords? And how do i make these pages/posts check against an encrypted password and not the standard plain-text one.
