I can’t log in to one of my WP accounts. I get a message that says I’m using the wrong password.

Here are all the things I’ve tried so far to fix this:

I tried the “Lost your password?” option, both with my username and the email address set for this account.

I checked to make sure the username and email address I used are correct by going into phpMyAdmin. I know I’m using the right user name and email address, because they match what’s in phpMyAdmin.

After I enter the username and or email address into the WP box under “Please enter your username or e-mail address. You will receive a new password via e-mail.”, I get the WP message that says, “Check your e-mail for the confirmation link.”

An email with a confirmation link never arrives. (Tried about six or ten times over the past few hours.)

In phpMyAdmin, I tried changing the password there. I deleted the pw that’s displayed, typed a new one, clicked the upper Go button, and before clicking on the lower Go button for saving the changes, I chose the menu item for then returning to this same phpMyAdmin page after saving.

From this phpMyAdmin page, I selected and copied the new pw, and pasted it into the login page from …com/wp-admind.

I get a message that says I entered an incorrect password.

Maybe my change is not being entered into phpMyAdmin? What am I doing wrong?
