Password forgot spam

    Hello,

    I receive an email from my wordpress website that I have requested a password reset for the admin. While I haven’t.

    what to do

    If you have named your user “admin” its easy to guess and some bots/botnets may abuse it.

    If you receive such mails – you can ignore them.

    Installing a security plugin is a recommended measure to prevent login password guesses and various weird things.

    I can’t change the admin name anymore.

    You can do so with help of a plugin (plugin can be deleted after changing):
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/search/change+username/

    This is safe operation for typical small site.
