Password in wp-config doing multisite backup

Are the db credentials also in the backup? Reason behind this: I’m in a multisite. When creating a backup file for a single site, and it would include the database password… well that would be a security issue.

No, the db credentials are not contained in the backup file. They are stored only in the wp-config.php.
This file will will not be backed up, exactely due to this security reason.
