Password problem with 1.2

    Hey, I just upgraded my WordPress to 1.2, and now my password dosen’t work.
    I did the “lost password” dialog, and it sends me two emails, one saying:

    Login: [no login name here]
    Password: ——–
    Login at: yadda yadda

    and another saying:

    Password Lost and Changed for user:

    the password given in the first one dosen’t work.
    This is my admin account, so, neccesito ayuda rapido.

    i have the same problem i need help too. i have deleted all the cookies too.. from the user/setting place. and no luck what so ever.

    anyone who’s password is messed up, you’re going to have to do what podz said there works.
    WP guys: you need to fix this.

    I’m having the same problem. OK, maybe it’s because I’m frustrated but I’m going to need more explicit/specific instructions to solve this problem.

    Opened up the wp_users table, deleted my password from there, got a new hashed password from http://bfl.rctek.com/tools/?tool=hasher

    Ok I don’t understand exactly. Where is the wp_users table? You’re not talking about the users.php file in the admin folder, are you?
    I was excited because the install went w/o any hiccups, looked good, then I went to add a post saying such, and now I can’t get in…
    I really need to be working on my MA thesis, not this. Any help would be appreciated. But like I said, I’m fried. So please no assumptions, please be as explicit as possible with your instructions. Thanx again.

    after doing what you said.. it won’t let me in. i put in the corrent info. and it takes me to this page: http://www.5feetshort.net/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php
    any other ideas?

    I think the options are to join IRC #wordpress on irc.freenode.net and ask there as feedback may be quicker, or to consider a reinstall.
    I’d go for the IRC channel first ….
