Password problems – Newbie needs help

I created a website for my husband a year ago. He is just now wanting to do something with it. I wrote down all the passwords and his username. Now, when I go to his site (which was never published) this message comes up and none of the passwords work: “This content is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:” How can I reset this? I am the admin for the site. I tried setting him up as an admin and it generated a”password” but it did not allow us into the page and it won’t let us create our own password. I know just enough, apparently, to get in trouble. Please help. BTW, I can get into my site fine and edit, no problem. Both sites are up to date on ipage.
