• About a month ago I published a new page to my site. This page was password protected and was the parent page to several other password protected pages. When I first published the page everything was working perfectly. I used the same password, so you only had to use it once to view all of the pages. Recently I’ve added an icon in the footer that is used as a link to the parent page.

Today, a visitor to the site told me that they could not login. I cleared my cookies in my browser and tried to login myself. When I entered the correct password and hit Submit all that it seemed to do was refresh the page. After some troubleshooting I realized that if I waited 3-5 minuets after entering in the correct password and refreshed the page I was able to reach the parent page. Originally I just thought that the password protected page was just refreshing so I was following this thread:

The thread is dated and not the same version of WordPress that I am using. I’m also not sure if we have the same problem. It sounds like a similar problem but I don’t know for sure that it is the same problem. I followed several of the solutions on the linked thread and none of them have worked.

If anyone has any insight to this problem please advise, Thank you.
