I recommend to switch just if there is an issue.
If everything is working fine with PostSMTP you don’t need to switch.
That’s not what the final page of the wizard says. It says:
“I highly recommend to change and TEST Post SMTP with the value PHPMailer.
if it will not work properly you can change back to the default value: PostSMTP.”
The problem is if someone is following your recommendation, which you recommend highly, and send a test email…they get the test email successfully. However, if for whatever reason they’re experiencing the same issue with password reset links missing, they won’t know unless they specifically test those emails as well.
If it is the case that you’re providing the alternate setting should they experience issues with PostSMTP, then I recommend updating the language in the wizard.
You are correct, I was sure I changed it.
Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.
found it, I just changed in the settings and wrote this:
Beta Feature: Change this to PHPMailer only if you see wp_mail conflict message, conflicts when another plugin is activated, and sometimes spam issues.
Awesome. Thanks for maintaining this great plugin!
