BPS Login Security Password Reset options are:
Enable Password Reset (default)
Disable Password Reset Frontend Only
Disable Password Reset Frontend & Backend
So select the Enable Password Reset option and click the Save Options button.
The password reset value was “Enable Password Reset” (it didn’t work)
Then I changed it to another option and changed it back to “Enable Password Reset”. Now it works, thx!

Cool. Thanks for confirming that things are good now. 🙂
Hi, I am getting the same “Password reset is not allowed for this user” message as well. Fortunately I CAN login via the Clef app from my phone and I can double check my user name and email is correct but if I am away from MY computer and try to log in via user name and password I get the same error message and I don’t have BPS plugin on my site!!
Any suggestions??
Regards
Jeff Lucas.
Hi folks, just as an update to my previous post, on reading the above posts, although I didn’t have the BPS plugin on my site I thought that I would try disabling all the plugins on my site of which there were only 4 but 2 were active one of which was the Clef plugin which I mentioned earlier. And wadayouknow! All is working fine now. I suspect that the Clef plug in was the culprit. Although a very useful plugin enabling me to log in with out the hassle of using user names and passwords, it’s not much good if I can’t log in when I am on a different device.
Thanks in anticipation any way, hope this may help others in the same boat.
Cheers,
Jeff Lucas.
