Password Set/reset

Hi,
I’ve set up a private area on the page with approved login (with a wpforo using Members and Aprove User) and for some reason the link generated for users to set they’re password goes to a restricted page which doesn’t let me see the reset password area meaning they could not log in. I’m not sure what is causing this but I’ve spent a while trying and can’t any help would be greatly appreciated.
