• I’ve noticed on two different WordPress websites that after the  6.5.2 version of WP automatically installed on my websites (4-?-2024), a plugin called PatchStack Security was also installed which broke one of my website that is hosting my Thrive Apprentice Online Courses.

I immediately deleted it from both of my websites and the broken site returned to normal.

I submitted a support ticket to WordFence to see if they knew anything about it and they thought that my site may have been hacked (which I don’t think so).
Can anyone confirmed that the plugin was added to my plugin database by WordPress? At the time, I did NOT add any new plugins that could have done this.

    Kindest regards

The only plugins that WordPress auto-installs are Hello Dolly and Akismet. If you’re concenred, you can always compare to a fresh download: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/download/

If you used a third-party installer or have a managed hosting provider, it’s possible that they installed the plugin for you, but we’d have no control over that.
