Paying affiliates

    I am a little unclear on how you pay affiliates. I understand that PayPal payouts is only available with the paid plugin.

    Using the free plugin, when you create a payout in the system, does it just record that you’ve paid and you would then manually pay the affiliate in some other way unrelated to the plugin?

    Using the paid plugin with PayPal payouts configured, you can create a payout and it will go through PayPal. Can you set the plugin to automatically pay affiliates after a certain threshold or time period? Or do you always have to manually create a payout?

    Hey @lyeffeth,

    Thank you for reaching out! With the core plugin, you can generate a new payout, which will grab all unpaid commissions, sum them up for each affiliate and offer you a report (a payout) of who you need to pay and how much.

    Each payout will consist of reference payments that you need to pay manually, via the method that is most accessible to you (PayPal, bank transfer, etc).

    Once you complete the actual payments to your affiliates, you can mark the reference payments from SliceWP as paid, so that your affiliates can see that the payment has been paid.
