    Hello Sir,

I need to create a flow, of which I don’t know how to achieve it with Forminator: so I came here to ask for help and guidance.

    THE WORKFLOW
1.) I need users to fill a Forminator form on the frontend and click submit on the frontend to submit / upload their images.

2.) But once they click submit, the Form should not Submit: rather, it should bring them to a Payment Page, for them to first make payment.

3.) If the “Payment Status” returns as “successful“, then they should receive a “Payment Successfulmessage, and it is after this, that the Form should then submit, and give a “submission successful” message.

    REQUEST
How can I achieve this flow, using Forminator Form ?

    Regards.

  • Hi @pressonforlife

I hope you are doing well today.

Please note that by default, this is not possible, and this will be outside the scope of support to provide such a thing. For that, you’ll need to hire a developer to provide the required custom code for you. WordPress provides a jobs directory here https://jobs.wordpress.net/, if you need further advice about it, feel free to email [email protected].

    – Subject: ATTN: WPMU DEV support – wp.org
    – Link back to this thread for reference (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/payment-before-form-submission/)

As a walkaround you can create 2 forms:

    1. 1st form will be a payment form, with a redirect to 2nd page with 2nd form after payment it done
    2. 2nd form will be a form where users will be able to upload image and submit them.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

In many instances, I have asked for some common sense and basic logic things from Forminator, and Forminator always comes back to say “not possible“.

I love Forminator because of the Post Data field, which helps me to allow users to Post even Custom Post Types through the Frontend.

Other than that, Forminator seems to me, like a plugin that has reached its saturation point, and is no longer improving: it has become to me, a static piece of Software that has no further drive towards embracing disruptive and nifty future innovations.

Please, don’t make our beloved Forminator plugin to become old school: still make the effort to receive Feature Requests, and do make an effort to implement them.

Take this my request as a Feature Request, and find a way to make it work!

    Regards.

    Hi @pressonforlife

I understand your concerns, we are receiving lots of feature requests for the Forminator plugin and are continuously working on improving the current features and adding new ones.

It seems there might be a misunderstanding here. If you use the built-in options of Forminator for payment, you can achieve your goal. For example, you can use the Stripe or PayPal payment fields, which won’t allow the form to be submitted until a successful payment is made. However, if you want to use a different payment method and redirect the user to another page, that is not possible.
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#stripe

You can achieve this by setting a payment method and adding the necessary field to your form, then setting up the success message in the behavior tab.

    Kind Regards,
    Amin
