Hi shooting,
That option is only going to be available next week, actually. We added in the basic membership payment options, but had to comment out the levels payments section due to development time constraints.
Since we’re still finalizing the levels payment options, I’d love to run them by you to see what works best for you. As of now, the plan is to add a new option “Payment Type” which can be set to either “Membership” or “Levels”. If it’s set to levels, there would be a table to set up how much it would cost to sign up for a specific level name. For example, if you had two levels, “Free” and “Premium”, you would add a row to the table that says “Premium” costs $12.
The “Payment Frequency” option would also apply to this, so you could set it to be $12 one-time, $12 yearly, or $12 monthly. Finally, there would be an option to set what level users are set to if they stop making payments if the payments are yearly or monthly. You could then have another level, “Former Premium”, where they still have access to some content that “Free” users don’t have access to.
The thinking was for example if you’re an e-magazine publisher, if a user stopped paying, they could still have access to issues more than 6 months old for example.
Let us know if you have any thoughts, we’d love to get levels payments done perfectly!
Rustaurius, thanks for the reply, the “levels” type would seem to work for what I’m doing now. I’m looking at an online course type membership, with some content being free to logged in users, and that plus other content being available to users after a one time payment. Seems like you are covering the bases-I’ll be looking forward to the upddates.
