Hi @jclague89,
I have thought of making WooCommerce/EDD Integrations with a similar flow where they would be awarded entries when purchasing a product (maybe even a “Entry” product).
In your case, do you use an eCommerce plugin on your site or would you need a complete independent integration with payment gateways?
No we don’t use a e-commerce plugin to be honest. The purpose of the site is for users to solve a crossword / wordsearch or other puzzle, after which they can enter to win a prize (which is where I use this plugin, which is great and works fine).
However, what we want to do after a user has entered is allow them to pay a small fee to enter 2 more times. So in answer to your question, we are looking for independent integration with payment gateways I suppose.
Kind Regards

Hi @jclague89,
thank you for the explanation. Would you like this to be more as an extra action as they exist now from 2.20.0? So people could buy X amount of entries instead of being able to enter once again?
Hi Igor,
Thanks for the quick reply, so yes it would be great if this was an extra action after they have entered for free. From what I can see currently once a user has entered they are no longer able to submit there details once again for free (unless you cache your browser) which is great but if we could allow that same user to enter again “X” amount of times for a fee then that would be fantastic.
In your last message did you say that this feature was already available from version 2.20.0? Is that correct or have I got confused?
Kind Regards

Hi @jclague89,
what I said is that the “Extra Actions” feature is available from 2.20.0 such as click on a link and similar.
I could implement it there as a new extra action to gain entries instead of re-enabling them to entry which would be more complex.
Hi Igor,
YesI think that would be great !!
Sorry I have just familiarized myself with the extra entries function. I see that the free version includes “Visit A Link” with the premium version including “Facebook”, “Twitter” and “Instagram”. So if the premium version could include a “PayPal” option for a user to enter again then that would be fantastic !!!
I am just wondering how this plugin would know if a user has actually paid or not before entering them again? Is that something you would be able to do or is that too complex?
Kind Regards
Jamie
Hi @jclague89,
that one would require a notification from PayPal that it was paid. Of course, unless such notification is received, the entry would not be added.
This is a complex thing to do, not in receiving the payment, but to prepare everything for it such as sending invoices for payments and such. It is doable, but it might require more time to implement.
I’ve put it to my list of features and marked it as high priority.
Hi Igor,
Yes I can imagine how that could be quite a significant amount of complex work.
Would be a great option to have I am sure not just for me but for others too and I’m sure people would definitely purchase the premium upgrade just for that feature.
Look forward to hearing more on this sometime soon.
Thanks Igor.
