Hi @abdul810
The update change log doesn’t seem to show any updates related to UI improvement. Can you tell me which version you updated from to get to the latest version?
By default, there is no option to customize the style. However, you can use the
wc_payment_gateway_[gateway_id]_form_fieldsfilter to customize the form fields. More info: https://woocommerce.com/document/braintree-for-woocommerce-action-and-filter-hooks/#section-14Please note that writing or providing custom code is not within the scope of our support policy. If you are still having problems, we recommend asking development questions on the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. Many of our developers hang out there and will be able to offer insights into your question. You can also seek help from the following:
- A local web developer
- Codeable.io
- WooExperts
I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done.
I have the same issue. The payment options window is very large now as in the jpg listed above by abdul810. This is on laptop and mobile interfaces. This started right after recent Braintree plugin updates. If Braintree does not know how to fix this, how can I reverse the recent update to go back to the previous version of the plugin?
I was able to fix this by rolling back to version 3.1.6. This is a bug. Please fix it as soon as possible, so I can update to the latest version for other bug and security fixes.
Hello @meezer432,
Thank you for letting us know that rolling back to previous version helped you resolve this issue.
@abdul810, Could you please try rolling back to version 3.1.6 and confirm if that resolves the issue for you? You can also try a CSS workaround while we dig deeper into this issue and provide you with an update on this.
Thanks for your understanding!
Same issue on my end. I noticed that the plugin’s css wc-braintree.min.css is no longer loading on the checkout page.
Rollback resolves it, but I believe that the payment plugin must be fresh updated.
See my screenshots, please.

Hi there,
I tested the issue in our test environment, but I couldn’t replicate it. The UI appears to be functioning correctly, as shown here: https://d.pr/i/fVHiRv
This suggests that the problem could be due to a compatibility issue with your current theme or a conflict with one of your plugins.
Could you please try the following steps to troubleshoot?
- Change the theme to Storefront: This will help determine if the issue is related to your theme.
- Disable all plugins except WooCommerce and Braintree for WooCommerce: If changing the theme doesn’t resolve the issue, try disabling all other plugins to see if the problem persists.
Let me know if these steps help or if you need further assistance.
This problem was fixed with version 3.2 which came out yesterday. It was listed in the changelog (below). After updating the plugin to this version, I tested it and the UI for credit card input is functioning properly. Nothing else changed on the system. If you tested this after the latest update, you wouldn’t have seen the problem, which was quite obvious prior to the update. Here is the changelog for the most recent version update:
3.2.0 – 2024-08-13
- Add – Support for Apple Pay when purchasing Subscription products.
- Fix – Credit card input boxes not visible.
Hi @whuchumeen
Oh, you are right! I apologize for not realising that the issue was reported for version 3.1.7. Thanks for pointing that out.
Thanks guys! Yes, it is working now!
Hi @ivrok,
That’s great to know! Thanks for looping back and confirming the fix. This thread has been marked as resolved.
For any further issues, feel free to create a new thread. Thank you!
