    Hi There,

Not sure what is going on but I have installed WooCommerce and WooCommerce PayPal Payments on my Dev site and I am trying to connect this to my PayPal business account. PLEASE NOTE: the business account is new and there are no connections to previous website urls.

The issue I am seeing is that when I go to the ‘Payments’ tab and select PayPal as an option, I have the blue ‘Complete setup’ button. Clicking this, I then get the ‘Complete your setup’ page, from which I then login to my PayPal account and receive the ‘Congrats, You have been approved for PayPal payments….’ message.

Cliking on ‘Return to WooCommerce’, I just get sent back to the ‘Complete Your Payment Setup’ page, where I have to connect to PayPal once more.

It’s like it is stuck in some form of loop ?

Not sure if there is anything else I should be doing from the PayPal account side, but it has completed all the test transactions without error etc…..

I have turned off ALL of the other plugins and still nothing.

Any ideas as I am just super frustrated and not sure what else to do…..

I would have thought that I would see some other screen and options in WordPress/WooCommerce, irrespective of whatever I may or may not havbe in my PayPal setup.

It is a business account and like I have mentioned, I get the ‘Congrats, you have completed your setup’ message.

  • Hi @kennedyd,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how frustrating issues like this can be.

However, this forum is specifically for addressing core WooCommerce-related topics. From what you’ve described, it seems the issue is related to setting up PayPal Payments. For dedicated support on that, please create a topic in the appropriate forum here:

So you are confident it is nothing within the WooCommerce plugin element that is causing this issue ? Surely when any Payment plugin is added, it also adds/integrates with the exisiting WooCommerce plugin, so could there not be an issue there ?

I have also raised a ticket on the WooCommerce PayPal support forum, but nobody has got back yet, apart from another developer with the same issue.

    Hi there!

I understand your concern. Please note that in this forum, we only provide support for issues related to WooCommerce core features. Since you’re facing an issue while connecting the PayPal Business account, the best approach would be to contact the plugin’s support team directly. They are more familiar with the plugin’s setup and can assist you in configuring it properly.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
