PayPal refund payment gateway API error

    Error “An error occurred while attempting to create the refund using the payment gateway API.”

    Occurs when trying to refund via PayPal

    What I have done:
    – searched forums for similar issue and read/applied recommendations
    – updated all plug ins
    – allowed ‘logging’
    – downgraded WooCommerce PayPal Payments from version 1.9.0 to 1.8.1
    – cleared cache
    – logged out then logged back in

    Issue still occurring. I am new to this whole website building/managing thing and unsure of anything else to try?

    Happy to supply more info.
