Hi, did you contacted PayPal support regarding your PayPal account?
Regards.
Hi, thank you for the prompt reply
The buttons works when sandbox mode is turned off, so I don’t think the problem is in paypal account ?
Hi, thank you for sharing more information. Sandbox testing can be tricky sometimes. I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your issue.
Kind regards.
For sandbox mode you will need to configure another button since the PayPal email address (the one for the merchant) will need to be different. The sandbox PayPal email and live PayPal email are not the same ones. So if you try to use the live one for a sandbox transaction, it will fail.
There is a testing section at the bottom of the following page that should be helpful for you (it has some useful information):

Hello,
I followed your advice on creating a new button using the paypal sandbox email, the configurations are as below:
Button ID: 21
Button title: PP test sub
Membership Level: PP Test Subscription
Payment Currency: USD
Billing amount cycle: 0.01
PayPal Email: [redacted by moderator]
Billing cycle: 1month
Billing cycle count: 0
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as well.
I then proceeded to implement the methods you used in the “Test section” of your article. Unfortunately, Paypal requires me to verify my account by linking my credit card, bank detail, national id.
I hope you could make the sandbox version work…
Hi,
Unfortunately, Paypal requires me to verify my account by linking my credit card, bank detail, national id.
This is very important and a standard practice with payment gateways like PayPal. If you don’t, how is PayPal going to know who the person is that is trying to use their services.
Kind regards.
