pclzip files

    What are all of these pclzip ……. .gz files accumulating in my root wordpress folder online at ftp site? They add up to more than 300MB. Can I delete them? What are they for and how did they get there?

    Are you running any caching or backup plugins?

    I don’t even know what you mean by that. Just running a video blog. All of them are dated the same, 6 months ago, with names like “pclzip-4cf6b4ce68493.gz”, “pclzip-4cf6bfeb85e8f.gz” etc.
