    Hello,
You gave us a good little very nice module, mainly for the good balance between efficiency and simplicity.

I am preparing a site for a town hall that would like to have a directory of associations in the town, and I find your perfect module for that, because it is unadorned.

For the specific case for which I need your module, the suggestion I am going to make would be a very interesting addition, and when I think back to the example you give in the backoffice of the module (ex: list of films) it would be just as good, therefore, I imagine that a lot of other users might find an interest in my idea. But I don't know how it is achievable, only you can tell.
So, here's my little idea:
This would be to re-add a button on the frontend that would allow visitors to create a pdf of the entire directory and download it.
With the possibility, in the backoffice, to display or not this button in fontoffice.
If we had any possible options to customize the pdf, that would be great, but, that's not the priority of my idea.
What do you think? too complicated?

    Hi Jerome,

    thank you for your suggestion and your kinds words about the plugin! At the moment I don’t see this is a new addition to the main version of the module. That has nothing to do with the idea, which is good. It’s all about implementation.

    The main problem with PDF is that people want it formatted in a certain way. This plugin is for WordPress, so in my opinion pretty web-only, but when you take it to a PDF, it would most likely must be printed, and look pretty. For that you would need to have a pdf editor or some kind of theming in it. Along with formatting it with all kinds of fonts (which need to be distributed in the plugin, along with the rights etc), I see this as a feature which would not be aimed at more than 90% of the users and also very complex, so it will not make it into the public version of Name Directory.

    If you would still like this feature, I can make you a custom made version of the plugin based on the current version (v1.22). A custom version would be programmed in a way that it cannot be overridden by the original version, so you don’t have to worry about that.
