PDF's can still be opened directly

I’ve installed this plugin and my PDF files can still be opened with a direct link. I do see that they are in the mediavault folder and url shows it there as well.
htaccess is updated with media vault information.
complete structure is wordpress/wp-content/uploads/_mediavault/year/etc…
Help!
