• I set up my site on a test directory on my domain so I could design the theme around it. Now that I’m happy with results, I put the whole test/ directiory back to the main domain and changed the wordpress address in settings to be the main domain.

The index page worked fine, but any category or post gave me internal server error 500. I came to find that if I put my permalink settings back to “Default”, the site works again.

I tried making new categories and posts using a non-default permalink to see if it was a problem transfering, but even the newly created ones wont work properly.

Is this a simple thing to fix?
