Permalink changed after Importing Feeds

    Congratulations Argentina! for a very nice plugin.

    I was wondering if there is a way to keep the original PERMALINK from the original post. I have imported one post using your plugin and it changed the permalink, it made the permalink very long, just based on the tittle of the post.

    It didn’t import the original permalink. The original permalink was short, SEO optimized.

    I am importing my own feeds from one website to other websites I have, so I would like to keep the same permalink/url as I have in the original website, but relative to the new website.

    For example, I imported an article with Tittle:
    Original Post
    The Amazing Plugin for Feeds Importing
    URL: /amazing-plugin-feeds-importing

    When I import to a new site:
    Imported Post
    the URL changed to:
    the-amazing-plugin-for-feeds-importing

    As you can see the new URL/link is very long similar to the tittle.

    Please let me know if there is a way to preserve the original URL/Link short and optimized for SEO/

    thanks for your comments! 🙂

    At this time there is just the option Post title links to source.
    Also the source permalink are saved in the Post Custom Fields as “wpe_sourcepermalink”

    But there is some filters in the code and I think there is no so difficult to do that…

    Surely we’ll add it in the next Professional version that will be released next week.
